What does "missions" mean?
Any endeavor to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ by proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and demonstrating God's love in ministering to human need -- spiritually, mentally, and physically. The purpose of the Nazarene World Mission Society is (1) to encourage people to pray for all efforts of world evangelization, (2) to inform people of the world's needs and what the church is doing to meet those needs, (3) to challenge children and youth to learn about and to participate in the mission of the church, (4) to raise funds for mission outreach.
